Florida Man Learns the Hard Way Not to Joke About Bar Tab Being Payment to ISIS

Sometimes, bros will be bros. Pranks will be played, and shenanigans will take place. Sometimes, though, bros being bros can go horribly wrong, especially when alcohol is involved and those bros joke about ISIS on social media.

Two Delray Beach roommates recently learned this lesson the hard way when they found themselves under investigation by Venmo — the digital wallet that lets you make and share payments with friends — after writing some internet-level humor in the space where users are asked to include a reason for payment.

We could explain, but it’s probably better you get the story straight from the horse’s mouth via the Twitter thread of one “El Duderino,” a 29-year-old construction manager who lives in Delray Beach: Full Story ⤳

Floridians For Freedom

Only the “Right Of Adults To Cannabis” amendment can secure your RIGHT to possess, cultivate, and use cannabis in a manner similar to your 2nd amendment right to “keep and bear arms” … think about that for a minute.

Whether you agree or disagree with Americans right to gun ownership, the strength of this protected right is clear and viewed my many as absolute. Floridians For Freedom believes adults right to whole plant cannabis should be comparable and hopes you agree. Full Story ⤳

Tiger Woods blames DUI arrest on prescription medications

Tiger Woods was arrested early Monday morning for driving under the influence, but hours after his release from a jail near his Florida home issued a statement saying “alcohol was not involved.”

In the statement, released through his publicist Monday evening, Woods blamed his arrest on prescription drugs.

“What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications,” Woods said in the statement. “I didn’t realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly.”

Woods, 41, had a fourth surgery on his back April 20. He has played only twice this year, the last time when he withdrew from a February event in Dubai, citing the bad back.

But Monday night, Mark Steinberg, Woods’s longtime agent, would not say whether the mix of medications Woods cited was related to his back problems.

“He wanted to clarify the situation,” Steinberg said by phone. “But there’s nothing further to provide right now.” Full Story ⤳
