PANAMA CITY — A Bay County man has been arrested after he allegedly broke into a woman’s vehicle and home to leave underwear he wanted her to wear, according to arrest reports.
Isitro Sanches, 58, was charged Wednesday with stalking, three counts of burglary of an unoccupied dwelling and a count of burglary of an occupied dwelling.
The Bay County Sheriff’s Office initially responded in January to a stalking complaint.
The victim complained of finding ladies’ underwear left in her unlocked vehicle and at her home on the railing on the front porch. Handwritten notes to the victim were left with the underwear.
The notes were written by someone who had some knowledge of the victim and expressed a desire to see the victim wearing the underwear, BCSO reported.
She also found underwear had been stolen from her home, only to be later placed on her porch. Interviews with possible suspects turned up few leads, BCSO reported.
Then, on April 13, while the victim was at work, the boyfriend of the victim heard someone enter the residence, and he confronted a male neighbor of the victim in the kitchen. The suspect fled the scene into the woods, but a BCSO deputy was able to locate and arrest the suspect, who was identified as Sanches, according to arrest reports.
Sanches would not answer any questions, but investigators were able to speak with family members about the suspect’s behavior.
Consent was provided for a search of Sanches’ residence, where authorities allegedly located items belonging to the victim. Also found was a large quantity of female underwear consistent with the size, brand and style recovered by the victim in and around her residence.
