Puerto Rican BK manager told to ‘go back to Mexico’

Eustis (WTFF) – Two old ladies are internet famous after yelling at a Burger King manager for speaking Spanish to an employee.

“This is America” cried one of the Baby Boomers in a video uploaded on July 6.

The video, which was recorded at a Burger King in Eustis, has over 21,000 views.

“Our main language is English,” the vestige of the past continued, ignorant of the fact that the United States has no official language.

“Speak your Mexican at home!” she screamed at the Puerto Rican manager, identified as Ricardo Castillo by the Ocala Star Banner.

“Go back to Mexico if you wanna keep speaking Spanish!” demanded one of the old ladies.

“Guess what ma’am, I’m not Mexican,” he replied. “You’re being very prejudiced and I want you out of my restaurant right now.”

The other Boomer yelled back, “This isn’t your restaurant!”

To the dismay of the old ladies, Castillo explained that the owner of this particular restaurant is Mexican.

In the five-minute video, the pair of Boomers argue back and forth with the manager, who asked them to leave several times.

“I have nothing to say to you, ma’am. Just have a nice day and don’t come back,” Castillo said.

Eventually the geriatric pair left.

“No human being deserves to be spoken to and disrespected like that,” said Oni Martinez, the boyfriend of Neyzha Borrero, who filmed and uploaded the encounter. They’re both Umatilla residents, and told the Ocala Star Banner that they’ve witnessed similar interactions.

Castillo said that if the two return, they will be issued a trespassing order.

He’s still trying to comprehend how there’s still people like that in the world, saying in an interview:

“We’re all the same. We’re all human beings. We bleed red.”

So, let’s start with the definition of America: North America, South America. Central America and the Caribbean. Second, when an English speaking person goes to any country that does have an official language as for an example Spanish, we don’t tell them go back to the United States, we do communicate with them and do our best to understand them and feel their needs. So, next time someone that comes to Puerto Rico and speak English I will tell them go back to the States and speak your English there. Ignorance is the most deadly disease in the world.
