Milton (WTFF) – A Florida man is dead Tuesday morning after eating 7 grams of cocaine during a routine traffic stop.
As reported by al.com, Santa Rosa county sheriffs say the man was stopped in Milton. It was found that he was driving with a suspended license, and he was taken into custody around 10:30 p.m. Monday evening.
While he was being arrested, a deputy saw him place something in his mouth. The unnamed man was taken to jail.
At 5:45 a.m. he admitted to deputies that he’d swallowed cocaine.
He was taken immediately to the hospital by ambulance. When he arrived, hospital staff pronounced him dead.
This is an ongoing investigation.
