Milton (WTFF) – A Florida man was arrested after deputies say he used a mirror to spy on a woman while she bathed.
23-year-old James Hawkins was charged with voyeurism on September 7, according to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office.
According to an arrest reported collected by PNJ, a deputy responded to a reported sexual offense at a home on August 15.
The victim said she was taking a bath around 8:30 that evening when she looked up and saw a man’s hand holding a compact mirror through a hole in the wall.
She yelled out, “What the fuck!” the report states.
The hand retreated back through the hole. She knew it was Hawkins, because she recognized his hand. He was the only man in the home at that time, she said in the report.
A deputy found the hole, and said it “was large enough to fit a compact mirror and to be able to manipulate the mirror to view someone bathing.”
Another woman was sitting in the living room and heard the victim scream a profanity. That witness saw Hawkins run out of the laundry room immediately after the scream.
Hawkins told the deputy that he “had no clue” why he was being accused of this, and stated that he had been on the couch the whole time.
Eventually he earned an arrest warrant.
Last Saturday, Hawkins was booked and released that same day on a $1,000 bond.
The Milton man is facing a single charge of Voyeurism (1st Offense), a first degree misdemeanor.
