Florida Man with pockets full of drugs says pants were borrowed

Alvin Pierre Louis

FORT PIERCE — A man police found with pain pills in his pocket said he was unaware of the Percocet in his pants, saying he borrowed the trousers that morning.

But that didn’t keep Alvin Pierre Louis, 28, out of jail after Fort Pierce police on Aug. 15 stopped his silver sedan, according to a report.

Police about 2:50 p.m. say the vehicle didn’t come to a complete stop at a stop sign at North 13th Street and Avenue E.

The driver, identified as Pierre Louis, made a “furtive movement to his pants with his hands as if he was hiding an item from his front pocket,” the report states.

Police reported the vehicle smelled of ganja, and that there were two passengers.

Police noted “a large bulge protruding from his (Pierre Louis’s) front pocket,” the report states.

Asked what was in his pockets, Pierre Louis said, “I don’t know what it is, I borrowed these pants this morning,” according to the report.

Investigators found paper with Percocet pills, and saw pot on Pierre Louis’s pants.

Pierre Louis said police wouldn’t find any weapons or drugs in the car, but they turned up a bag with a BB gun and marijuana. Investigators also found more than $1,500 in cash in Pierre Louis’s wallet.

Pierre Louis later said he grabbed the pills, thinking they were aspirin.

Pierre Louis, of the 1200 block of Avenue B in Fort Pierce, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
