Milton (WTFF) – A Florida woman was arrested for intentionally starting a house fire after arguing with her father about cigarettes.
36-year-old Teri Lynn Smith reportedly called her father, who owns the home, and demanded cigarettes. (WEAR TV)
He told her to quit smoking, and she replied by saying that she was going to burn his house down.
The Florida woman then started a fire in a back bedroom of the home on McCranie Road, according to the arrest affidavit.
She’s at the Santa Rosa County Jail with a $10,000 bond, facing a single charge of Arson, a second degree felony.
Her home address was listed on McCranie Road as well, so there’s a good possibility that she’s been living in her dad’s home, the one she burned down. We are waiting on court documents to verify this.
Smith has been arrested numerous times in Santa Rosa County since 2006, racking up charges for things like careless driving, reckless driving, improper passing, grand theft of motor vehicle, DUI, battery on a person over 65, trespassing, drug possession, burglary, damage to property, larceny grand theft and failure to appear in court.
Teri Lynn Smith is a Florida Native, born in Santa Rosa County, according to previous arrest paperwork.
Someone needs to get information right, the house didn’t burn down, nor did it have any damage what so ever..
