Miami (WTFF) – A woman standing in line at Publix was wounded after an off-duty police officer accidentally discharged his firearm.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, the off-duty City of Miami officer was in line at 16800 Kendall Drive when he reached into his pocket to pay.
While fumbling around for money, he somehow managed to pull the trigger of his gun.
The bullet ricocheted and grazed the woman’s leg.
The extent of her injury is not yet known.
The identity of the cop was not released.
