Jacksonville Beach (WTFF) – A homeless Florida man claiming to be “an agent of God” was found taking a stroll on the beach with a large rattlesnake.
The Florida man was “approaching people in the boardwalk area of the beach while holding the snake aloft,” according to First Coast News.
Jacksonville Beach Police officers arrived on scene Monday morning and told the man to throw the snake inside their police cruiser, reports Jacksonville.com.
The FWC was called, and they safely removed the snake, which was about 6 to 8 feet long.
The snake will be relocated to its natural environment.
News reports do not indicate why the Florida man was carrying the rattlesnake or if he got injured while holding it.
