UPDATE: A local anonymous tip claims that the 2 dead bodies had bullet holes in them, though news source have not stated that.
WEIRSDALE — Two bodies were found Saturday morning inside a vehicle parked in a Dollar General parking lot. As of 11:30 a.m., the Marion County Sheriff’s Office was not providing identities of the deceased or any information about how they died.
A man found the bodies outside the Dollar General at 13842 SE County 42. One was a man and the other a woman.
Sheriff’s detectives are still investigating, and the Medical Examiner’s Office also is on scene.
During the course of the investigation, detectives made contact with a second man in a Burger King parking lot, located in the 3600 block of Southeast Maricamp Road, which is miles away from where the bodies were. In a brief encounter with the individual, whose name was not released by officials, the man shot himself in the face.
He was transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition. Authorities would not say whether there was a connection between the man’s shooting and the two bodies that were found.
