Weston (WTFF) – An armed robbery at Walgreens was thwarted by an employee who simply stared at the gunman until he walked away.
On December 4, a Florida Man waltzed into the Walgreens at 1751 Bonaventure Boulevard in Weston. After walking past the security cameras with his face in plain sight, he put his hoodie on. He picked up some candy and ice cream and walked over to the registers.
The employee started to ring up the items, when suddenly Florida Man pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the register.
The stoic clerk simply started at him in quiet resistance, casually handing him the bagged merchandise. Floridians have seen a lot, and really aren’t fazed by guns.
Florida Man made the demands again, but the clerk didn’t give him any money. He didn’t even give him an expression. He just stood there expressionless, unflinching.
The would-be-thief gave up and ran away.
According to The Broward Sheriff’s Office, this Florida Man is described as a male in his 20s with a dark complexion. He is approximately five foot nine inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds. He wore a red Columbia hoodie and a baseball cap.
