Palm Beach Woman Offers to Tap Dance During Sobriety Test

Honore DUI

Palm Beach (WTFF) – A woman in Palm Beach got a DUI after downing a bottle of white wine, driving her BMW, and offering to tap dance for the arresting officers.

Honore Ryan is a 59-year-old Florida Woman.

Last week, she finished off a bottle of white wine and hopped into her 2014 BMW.

Being a typical Floridian, she was driving around after twilight with no lights on.

At around 8:00 pm Oct. 23, in the 1700 block of South Ocean Boulevard, officers spotted her vehicle with no lights on and pulled her over.

The officer asked for her license and registration.

Honore responded by fumbling around with buttons on the stereo. There was no music playing, but she turned her glassy eyes towards the officer and asked something like “how do you turn the radio off?”

She found a BMW brochure and figured that would suffice for a license. She handed it to him in lieu of not being able to locate her license and registration. She sensed the officer was not happy. She then offered to donate to the police, and tried to seal the deal with a pair of her Ray-Bans.

None of that worked. She was given a field sobriety test anyway and failed.

During that test, she asked one of the officers if he wanted her to tap dance.

While Palm Beach Daily News did not say if the cop agreed or not, we can safely assume it really happened. Those shifts are long, and they need some humor once in a while too.

Her blood alcohol level was at 0.125, which puts most people right between slurred speech and euphoria. Way past the .08 legal driving limit.

Florida Woman was released from the Palm Beach County Jail the next morning at 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 24, 2017. She was charged with a misdemeanor DUI.
