TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) — A Tallahassee woman has been charged with attempted murder after officers say she stabbed her mother in the face and chest.
Around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, officers with the Tallahassee Police Department responded to a home in the 900 block of Hawthorne Street. They found a woman covered in blood around her face and neck.
The woman told police that her daughter, 37-year-old Elizabeth Bell, had attacked her with a knife and was still inside the house. Full Story ⤳
A 53-year-old man stole a knife from a Lowe’s Home Improvement Center, then died after he impaled himself on it as he ran from the store, the Plant City Police Department said.
Police said they received a call about 6:40 p.m. about a shoplifting in progress. Store officials told them a white male subject — identified as Jerry Ellis Word, 53 of Lakeland — had entered the store, 2801 James L. Redman Parkway, removed a knife from its packaging, then hid it on his person. Word then left the store without paying for it.
When he was confronted by store personnel, Word brandished the knife at them, employees said.
He ran southwest toward Parks Springs Apartments, 300 Park Springs Circle. While fleeing with the knife, however, police said Word somehow impaled himself on the knife. Full Story ⤳
A drunken Florida woman stabbed her boyfriend with an 8-inch blade after he farted in her face during an argument, police say.
Deborah Ann Burns, 37, allegedly knifed her lover of six years — Willie Butler, 53 — as they watched television in their Immokalee apartment last week.
Burns told cops they were fighting about cash when Butler got up to go to the kitchen and broke wind on her head.
She confronted him and things turned ugly — with Butler allegedly throwing a knife at her, which missed. Full Story ⤳
JUPITER – Her brother ate her frozen pierogies. So the 36-year-old Jupiter woman grabbed a dagger late Tuesday, threatened to cut the Polish dumplings out of her brother’s stomach and stabbed the hood of a truck, town police said.
Mandy Rounds is facing an aggravated assault charge. She was released from the Palm Beach County Jail early Thursday on a $1,500 bond, records show.

Paul Vincent Salvo said that he had approached a group of three young men and a young woman when he saw that the young men were arguing with the young woman. He said that he had approached to make sure the girl was safe before he got into an argument with the three teens, the oldest of which was 19.
